The Reverend Clark Scalera New Advocate for Congregations and Clergy

Elected and called on February 24 at Special Presbytery meeting in Eugene


Presbytery elected the Reverend Clark Scalera as Advocate for Congregations & Clergy (ACC) at the Special Presbytery Meeting held on February 24th in Eugene, Oregon.  As Advocate Clark will:

  • create support systems for our congregations,
  • serve as pastor, coach and encourager to congregations and ministerial leaders and
  • serve as staff to the Committee on Congregational Connections and the Commissions on Ministry and Preparation for Ministry.

Before Clark’s election, the presbytery heard concerns from the Committee on Representation (COR) about process issues that may have limited diversity in the search for the ACC.  Presbytery responded with an approved motion here
